Before being assassinated at the ripe old age of 41, Bugsy Siegel had a long rap sheet with charges that ranged from bootlegging to extortion to murder. A true renaissance man, Siegel worked as a hit man for the mob in New York before being sent to establish a new crime syndicate on the west coast. There, Siegel took control over the construction of a new property in Las Vegas, The Flamingo Hotel. However, the project did not go well. Siegel went several million over budget, with some reports stating he was lining his own pockets. Bugsy was executed at home in California in 1947. Don’t steal from the mob people.
